Dxdiag contents alot of informations about your computer configuration (memory, video, etc.)
To find out what type of hardware you have in your system, you will need to access the DirectX Diagnostic Tool.
To do this:
1) Click Start and go to Run.
2) Type: DXDiag and click OK.
3) The DirectX Diagnostic Tool will pop up.
- The 'System' tab should give you full information on your PC (operating system, processor, RAM, etc).
- The 'Display' tab will contain your video card information
-The 'Sound' tab will contain your sound card information.

Many technical problems are due to drivers problems on graphics or sounds boards.
A driver update is very significant for your computer. Very often, the errors are caused by old drivers and that’s causing you trouble when running a game.
Updating a driver is a simple process. These updates are free and made available by the manufacturer of your board.

When you make these updates, always make sure to remove the current pilots before installing the new one.
- Go in "Additions and suppression of programs" of the control panel (which you can reach by the “stating” menu of Windows). - Then you select the components to remove - Then you click on "delete". Afterwards, re start your computer and install the new driver than you downloaded. Sounds :

- Proceed also with deleting the current driver (just like for the graphic card).

Some people are having textures problems with Singles 2. They see only the eyes and the teeth of characters.
And this occurs with graphics boards FX 5500 and FX 5200 and some 6600. On another forum, somebody told to have succeeded with pilot 77.72 for a FX 5500.
But I am unaware of if it is a success also for the 5200... It is necessary to test.I know that it the game requires an update of the driver of your graphic board... But for those the last pilot available does not function, and then make the test with a driver a little less recent.
It is also necessary to consider the memory on your graphic board; your board must have at least 128MB/Mo... It is certain that if your 5500 board has only 64Mb it will not function for Singles 2 even with the 77.72 driver!
Add on November 21 2005:
It is now confirmed, pilot 77.72 with chart FX 5200 for Singles 2.
Add on January 21 2006:
The new official patch 1.3 corrects this problem of NVIDIA pilotNo more necessary to install a less recent pilot. But this patch is compatible only with those which have the original version of the game on CD. Make a Google research to find this patch.
Add on March 1 2006:
I did some tests and with a GeForce 5700 card the 77.77 driver is also working fine. But nothing over it did!
Here’s how to make an update of Singles without problem of downloading and installation.
Important:
- You must have the original CD - You shouldn’t have installed non official patches (I do not ensure the correct operation of this procedure if you installed such those files)
Update:
- Insert original CD
- When opening, choose "look for updates"
- Choose the file
- Execute
- Choose "execute" again at the opening of the installation window
- Let work and close the window at the end of the installation
- Start the game and verify at the bottom of your menu screen if your version of the game is correct
